Fantastic Furniture has closed its last Australian factory, resulting in the loss of 100 jobs. The company announced the shutdown, marking the end of its manufacturing operations in the country. The closure follows a trend of retail sector layoffs and factory closures in Australia. The move is surprising to the local economy and staff. The factory, which has been a important employer in the region, will now see a period of adjustment. The company has not yet announced plans for its future operations or whether it will move production to other countries. The closure is a result of a broader shift in the retail sector, with many companies downsizing their operations in recent years. This has led to increased unemployment and monetary uncertainty in the region.
